For Machine Builders

Web control components, specified for your machine

If you build roll-to-roll machinery, you are not shopping for a sensor. You need someone who can take a machine layout and come back with a package that fits, arrives assembled, can discuss an OEM supply and branding arrangement when the project is a fit, and is still answering the phone in three years.

This page is the commercial detail you would otherwise have to ask for in three emails — OEM supply terms, CAD, warranty, lead times, payment, and where our capability actually stops.

What we actually do for a machine builder

Three things, and it is worth being precise about which is which.

Specify the guiding package

You give us the machine section, the web width, the material and the line speed. We come back with a controller, sensor, actuator and frame combination and a model code — not a catalogue to work through. This is the part we are genuinely good at.

Supply the matched components

Tension sensors and controllers, static bars and fans, differential friction shafts. We supply and match these against your application rather than engineering them — an honest distinction, and one that matters when your engineer asks a hard question.

Consolidate the order

One purchase order, one shipment, one contact, one set of documents. Components from different factories are brought together before dispatch rather than arriving separately over three weeks.

Supply terms

Published rather than negotiated one email at a time. If something here does not work for your purchasing department, tell us and we will say plainly whether we can move.

OEM brandingAvailable for qualified OEM programs by prior agreement. The model, expected volume, artwork or firmware requirements, and commercial terms are confirmed case by case before quotation.
CAD2D drawings and 3D models on request, so the unit goes into your assembly before you commit to an order.
Warranty12 months. A unit that fails inside that period is replaced free of charge and shipped to you.
Lead timeStandard items, roughly 4 working days in production when the factory is not loaded. Plan on 7 working days for normal quantities. Single replacement parts are a different case — common controllers, sensors and actuators are held in stock and ship in 2–3 working days.
PaymentFirst order settled before shipment. Established customers are not asked to pay in advance.
Display languageEvery screen-equipped controller can be set to English. Units without a screen are supplied with English labelling.
ShippingGross weights and packing dimensions are published on the product pages so you can cost freight into your machine price before you quote your own customer.

Where we stop

The limits, stated up front.

A supplier who will not tell you what they cannot do is a supplier you will find out about later, on your machine, in front of your customer.

  • Web width up to 4 m
  • Line speed up to 600 m/min
  • Correction stroke generally within ±100 mm
  • Above roughly 450 mm web width, a split frame replaces the integrated frame
  • We are not a machine builder and do not take on turnkey line design
  • Our engineering depth is in web guiding; on tension, static and shafts we select and supply against your requirement rather than claiming to engineer the process
Guiding accuracy0.1 mm system control accuracy
Controller response2 ms
Integrated frame widths160–750 mm standard, FTK for non-standard
Sensor optionsUltrasonic, infrared, CCD line and contrast
CommunicationRS485 Modbus-RTU on guiding controllers
Non-standard buildsAvailable — send the drawing and we will say yes or no before quoting

Track record

Already fitted as original equipment.

These guiding units are specified as original equipment by Chinese printing machinery manufacturers across PS-plate offset, flexo, digital, intermittent rotary, die-cutting and post-press equipment — thirteen of the best-known builders in the sector are among them.

For a machine builder evaluating a new supplier, that is the part worth weighing: this is not a prototype looking for its first machine. It has been through other builders' engineering reviews, it is running in the field, and the machines carrying it are exported — which is why the nameplate turns up on production lines well outside China.

The integrated frame page carries photographs taken at Labelexpo Asia 2025, each one a different machine on a different builder's stand, all with the same unit already fitted.

Specifying without a phone call

Standard units are described completely by their model code, so once you know the system you can put an exact specification on your drawing and your purchasing team can reorder it without coming back to us.

Read the model code

C400-S-300-60-01-Q decodes to a 400 mm web width, ultrasonic sensor, 300 mm roller spacing, 60 mm roller diameter, web direction and a pneumatic splicing table.

Check the weight

Packing dimensions and gross weights are published per model, from 12 kg to 41 kg, so freight goes into your costing before you quote.

Weight table

Match the components

Controllers, sensors and actuators are listed with their interfaces and signal types, so a substitution can be checked against what your machine already expects.

The more of this you can give us, the closer the first proposal will be. If you would rather send a machine drawing than fill in a form, send it to sales@kendoric.com.
