Medium-Tension Pneumatic Slip Shaft

DS Slip Shaft

DS slip shafts provide pneumatic core locking and controlled slip for medium-tension film slitting and rewinding applications.

Shaft Structure & Winding Function

Controlled winding torque for medium-tension slit rolls.

Suitable for automatic roll loading and unloading, medium-tension film slitting and flexible packaging laminate rewinding.

  • Center-air-pressure slip shaft with pneumatic locking and pneumatic slip.
  • Provides accurate torque and precise tension control over a broad range. Starting working pressure is generally higher than low-tension slip shaft designs.
  • The core remains stable and does not shift or loosen during forward and reverse rotation.
  • A practical option where stable core holding and controlled winding torque are required.

Slip Ring

Slip ring options and core-contact details

DS slip rings can be selected according to core size, ring width, air path, required torque and winding tension range.

  • 3-inch ring outside diameter is 75.5 mm and expands to 77.8 mm.
  • Suitable 3-inch core inner diameter is 76.2 +/- 0.2 mm for paper or plastic cores.
  • 3-inch ring inner diameter is 45 mm, with standard 40 mm width and 30, 35 and 45 mm options.
  • 6-inch ring outside diameter is 151 mm and expands to 155.5 mm.
  • Suitable 6-inch core inner diameter is 152.4 +/- 0.2 mm for paper or plastic cores.
  • 6-inch ring inner diameter is 70 mm with standard 40 mm width.

Selection Notes

Confirm core material, core inner diameter, required width, winding tension range, shaft structure and whether the application needs low starting tension or higher roll-holding force.

Technical Reference Data

Pull force and air pressure reference values for preliminary selection.

Reference values should be confirmed according to the actual shaft structure, ring width, core material and air path before final selection.
