ACT01 Web Guiding Actuator

ACT01 is a servo actuator for web guiding systems, used as the final correction mechanism to move the guiding frame according to controller commands. It features absolute position feedback, small backlash, electronic limit control and maintenance-friendly operation.

ACT01 servo actuator

Key Features

Servo actuator with absolute position feedback for web guiding correction.

  • Three-phase servo motor design supports high torque, brushless operation and reduced maintenance.
  • Ball screw transmission helps reduce backlash and supports stable correction movement.
  • Absolute position feedback allows real-time monitoring of actuator travel.
  • Electronic limit control reduces the need for mechanical return or limit switches.
  • Auto-centering function can return the actuator to center when no material is detected.
  • Flexible installation for different web guiding frame layouts.

Replacement & Spare Part

Replacing an ACT01 on an existing machine?

ACT01 comes in three stroke variants — ACT01-80, ACT01-100 and ACT01-180. Identifying which one is on the machine is the first step in a replacement, and the model number is on the actuator body.

Availability

Normally held in stock. Orders confirmed before midday China time usually ship within 2–3 working days. That is dispatch, not delivery — transit time depends on the courier and destination, and we quote it with the price.

What to send us

A photo of the installed actuator showing both mounting ends and the cable, the model number from the body, and the controller it is driven by. If the model number is unreadable, the mounting centre distance and the visible stroke will usually identify it.

What ships

The actuator. Mounting hardware can be supplied if the existing brackets are damaged.

Stroke variant, thrust rating, supply voltage and the mounting geometry are what decide a drop-in fit. One point worth knowing: the actuator stroke does not have to equal the mechanical travel of the guide frame, because the controller uses electronic limits and adapts to the available stroke. If you are unsure which variant to order, send the machine data rather than measuring the frame.

Dimension drawing: available on request. Ask for it by email and check it against the unit on your machine before ordering.

Commonly reported ACT01 symptoms

Not every fault that looks like a failed unit is one. These are the patterns we are asked about most often, and what they usually turn out to mean.

Runs to the end of its travel and stays there

Usually not the actuator. It normally means the incoming lateral error is larger than the correction range available, which points at the roll or at machine alignment upstream.

Movement is slow or hesitant

Check for binding in the slides and for an actuator working at its thrust limit. Both look like a detuned controller from the operator panel.

No movement and the motor hums

Points at the drive stage or at a mechanically seized screw. Try moving it under manual command with the frame unloaded.

Works in one direction only

Usually the drive stage or wiring rather than the mechanism.

If the symptom is not on this list, describe it in your message. It is cheaper for both of us to identify the actual fault than to ship the wrong part.

Selection Notes

Choose ACT01 when servo actuator control, absolute position feedback and stable correction movement are required.

Good Fit

Standard correction structures requiring servo control, position feedback and flexible installation.

Check First

For heavier correction load or larger frame structures, ACT03 or WU10000 may be more suitable.

System Match

Use with a compatible web guiding controller, sensor and correction frame selected according to web width, correction load, stroke and installation space.
