Replacing an LX100A on your machine?
Replacing a load cell from another manufacturer? If the rated load, shaft diameter and mounting dimensions match, one of these can replace it. Send the old sensor’s label and mounting dimensions and we will check the fit.
What to match
Confirm the required rated load: 10, 25, 50 or 100 kg. Send the roller width and roller diameter, and check the cantilever mounting dimensions against the existing machine.
What to send us
Send a photo of the sensor label, a photo showing how it is mounted, and the model of the connected controller or signal amplifier. Include the old sensor’s mounting dimensions so we can check the fit.
Measurement checks for LX100A installations
Use these checks to review the sensor installation and measurement setup.
The zero point changes after roller or bearing work
With the roller fitted and no web, set zero again and calibrate with a known weight. A different roller changes the dead weight the sensor measures.
The reading follows speed changes without a tension change
Check the wrap angle and the web path on each side of the measuring roller. If they move with roll diameter, the measured force changes; fit fixed idlers on both sides.
Sudden jumps or a full-scale reading
Start with the cable and connector. Then check for an overload, such as a web break or hard stop, and compare the event’s roller load with the listed maximum overload of 300% of rated load.
